One Year Older and Wiser, too?

More like more absentminded than ever, but since it seems to be a byproduct of my two boys, I would say it's well worth it.

So it was my bday recently. I went to the zoo with Joe and Will and some of my friends. To my surprise, when I got home I smelled chocolate cake. My sweet hubby came home earlier than I expected and had made German Chocolate cake for me, complete with topping he made from scratch!
Yes, it looks scrumptious, and I assure you, it tasted even better!

We had a pretty chill rest of the day. Joe had a blast helping me open gifts.

Self Portraits

Joe loves the camera

I can't seem to keep it out of his reach

His favorite subject is himself

Maybe someday he'll be a great photographer

For now, I'll just get a good laugh from these :)

Grandpa Bill

Zach's Grandpa Bill passed away unexpectedly last week on Sunday. He was an amazing man and I feel privileged that I got to be a part of his family. We went to his funeral this past weekend in Utah. I am so glad we were able to be there. All of his grandchildren were there and all but two (I think) of his great-grandchildren were there.

The thing everyone said about Grandpa was that he made everyone feel important. Each grandchild felt like they were his favorite. I even felt like I was his favorite. He always made me feel special when we saw him. His family was so important to him. He loved spending time with them. He was an incredible example of forgiveness, and hard work.

We miss Grandpa Bill, but we are so grateful we know that we will be able to see him again.

We love you Grandpa.

Papa and Grammy Come to Visit

We were so lucky to have Grammy and Papa Taylor come visit us for over a week. We loved having their company. While they were here we blessed our sweet William.
The first picture we have of all four of us *please disregard how exhausted I look :)
