Downtown Omaha

While Will was here we took a little trip to downtown Omaha. There is a little park with two slides, a pond with ducks and some metal artwork.

Can you tell I love when Joe holds hands with his uncles?

I was feeling a little nervous Joe was going to fall in, but I had nothing to worry about.

Isn't he so handsome?

He has become quite the goofball.

He is pretty funny and apparently he knows it.

As demonstrated by his prayer he said before bed with Zach listening.

"Heavly Faher...
thankufer foo..
umm...
[a bunch of words we mostly don't understand]
umm thankufur...
joejoe funny...
Amen."

He sure does make us laugh.

Visitors!

Just two weeks after Will left, Jerry and Ashley came to visit. We had so, so, so much fun with them. Joe loved playing with his cousins and was asking about them first thing every morning they were here (and the morning they left :( )

We went to the zoo, the pumpkin patch, and the visitor's center and temple while they were here. We wore the kids out and the last day they were here we just hung out and visited. It was so nice!

Getting ready to check out the zoo. Joe is being silly, as usual.

Joe loves the petting zoo.

I think Sarah liked it too.

Checking out the polar bear together.

Will and Lily hanging out in the stroller. Can you believe those babies are double cousins? You would think they would look more alike.

Well, they may not look that much alike but they are both adorable.

Thanks so much for coming to see us guys!

Uncle Will Comes to Visit

We were so lucky to have my brother come see us for a few days. Joe hasn't seen him since Christmas, but warmed up to him really quickly.

Thanks Uncle Will for coming to see us! We had so much fun!

Beat the Heat

Well the last few days it has started heating up, although I'm pretty sure it's just going to get hotter.

I think we'll be doing a lot of this this summer.

The Great Outdoors

We took the chance to go camping the week Zach had off school before he started clinic. It was a lot of fun. We just went for two nights, which I think was perfect with the two kiddos.

Look at this happy camper! I can't believe how big he is.

Looking stylin' in his shades

Our sweet napping boys

It was beautiful. The weather was perfect. It was just barely warm enough at night when we were all bundled up, and not too hot in the day. Joe did end up sleeping in Zach's tent with him though. Joe doesn't like sleeping with any covers, so I'm not sure why we thought he would sleep in his own little sleeping bag. We didn't get the best sleep while we were there but it was still a blast.

Snow!

Our first snow in Omaha! I guess that's not entirely true, because we had a little snow in October, but it was a fluke. After enjoying a long fall it got so cold last week and it finally snowed last night.
Outside our front window

Out our back door. I wish I could take Joe outside to play, but the poor kiddo threw up yesterday and I don't think he's quite up for it. Zach did let him touch some last night and he ate it. At this moment he is standing at the back door saying, "more."

The Zoo!

There is an awesome Zoo here in Omaha, within walking distance of where we live. We went for the first time last week. We got a season pass, so I'm sure we'll be going often. Joe loved it, especially the aquarium (which I didn't get pictures of).

Home, this is Home

For those who are interested, here are a bajillion pics of our townhouse. We're loving it and feel very fortunate to be living here. There is still some decorating I would like to do, but we're in no rush.

Upstairs Living Room

Laundry Room, complete with mountain of clean laundry

Living Room

Our Room (sorry for the crappy photo, I'm too lazy to take another)

Basement- this pic makes the paint look super bright, it's darker in person.

Basement again

Guest/Storage room- normally there aren't boxes all over the bed, but yesterday I had to get to our food storage which was, of course, at the very back of all our storage... clearly, I have yet to put back the boxes.

Kitchen

More Kitchen

Joe's Room - yes, it's purple. It actually matches his bedding really well, and I don't think he'll be old enough to care until around the time we move again.

More of Joe's Room

Bathroom- possibly the greatest upgrade from our pocatello apartment to here. I love not being embarrassed to have someone use our bathroom!
