Birthday Boy

We have officially entered the "terrible two's". I think for the most part this stage is going to be so fun, busy, but fun.
Joe actually had a little bit of a cold on his birthday, so we had a relaxing day with a walk to the gardens in the morning, a long nap, and watching Thomas.

That evening though, we did have cake and ice cream with friends. I know Joe wasn't feeling his best, but I'm pretty sure he had a great day (as evidenced by the first picture).

Time is flyin'

Oh my! Are we already half-way through June? We've been a little busy potty training Joe. He's actually doing pretty well, but it's time consuming. And right now it's not exactly convenient, but I think I will be glad we did it when it's all over.
Here's the little man himself in his train shirt he got for going poop in the potty the first time. And he helped himself to both the olives and the can opener and was trying to open them.

And I can't believe Will is already over 4 months old. Where is the time going? He is such a good baby. I don't get the camera out as much as a should because Joe just want to play with it. That's the explanation for the quality of the last one. :)

Resourceful

I got Joe some yogurt the other day and then ran downstairs to do something. When I came back up this is what he was doing.
Yes, that is a sock he is using as a spoon. I'm not sure what he did with the spoon I gave him. But it's okay, because he found something else that worked just as well.

And I'm not sure where he got the idea... I wish I could say the sock was fresh out of the dryer, but I'm pretty sure it came right off his foot.

What a goofball.

Beat the Heat

Well the last few days it has started heating up, although I'm pretty sure it's just going to get hotter.

I think we'll be doing a lot of this this summer.

The Great Outdoors

We took the chance to go camping the week Zach had off school before he started clinic. It was a lot of fun. We just went for two nights, which I think was perfect with the two kiddos.

Look at this happy camper! I can't believe how big he is.

It was beautiful. The weather was perfect. It was just barely warm enough at night when we were all bundled up, and not too hot in the day. Joe did end up sleeping in Zach's tent with him though. Joe doesn't like sleeping with any covers, so I'm not sure why we thought he would sleep in his own little sleeping bag. We didn't get the best sleep while we were there but it was still a blast.
